Cheap Pickup Truck Deals at Lincoln Government Truck Auctions Nebraska

If you have ever thought about the cheap pickup truck deals at Lincoln, NE government truck auctions, then you might not know what to expect.  While every government auction has a lot of similarities, there are also a few differences.  The most notable difference is where the trucks come from.  To give you a better idea of what the listings will likely include as well as where the trucks are coming from, here is a quick look at some previous results.

There are three main places that these trucks will come from.  They are the federal, state, and local government.  While this sounds pretty straightforward, here is a closer look at some previous auctions to give you a clearer picture.  The federal fleet cheap pickup truck deals at Lincoln, NE government truck auctions normally come from a few different places.  In Nebraska, federally owned trucks sent auction to come from work crews, both maintenance and land preservation.  State trucks at these auctions are often the same.  It gets a little more interesting when it comes to trucks that were owned by the local government.  Along with work trucks and land preservation trucks, they can also come from the Nebraska University campus in Lincoln as well as the satellite campuses.

In general, most of the cheap pickup truck deals at Lincoln, NE government truck auctions will be domestic brands – Chevrolet, Dodge, and Ford.  In the past, most of the Chevrolet’s are the C1500 and the K3500.  The C1500 tends to be newer, ranging from 2 to 6 years old, with between 45,000 and 65,000 miles.  The K350, tends to be a few years older with an additional 10,000 to 20,000 miles on them.  If you want a late-model truck, then the C1500 will likely be your best bet because the Dodge and Ford trucks tend to be a little older and with a few more miles on them.  For the most part, the Chevy’s will be either gas or gas/ethanol, however there could be a few diesel engines as well.

While a range of different Dodge trucks are available, the Ram 2500 tends to be the most common.  In most cases, they will be between 5 and 10 years old with 60,000 to 90,000 miles.  They also tend to only be gas engines as well.  If you want the most potential selection when looking into cheap pickup truck deals at Lincoln, NE government truck auctions, then Ford is probably going to be your target.  On average, there will be a greater variety of Ford trucks than anything else.  Almost every auction will have the F250, F350, and L9513, although there are often others as well.  They tend to be the same age as the Dodge trucks, however they normally have a little less mileage.  The exception is the L9513 which will normally be more a decade old, with 125,000+ miles.

As you can see, when hunting for cheap pickup truck deals at Lincoln, NE government truck auctions, there is a quite a variety in terms of both make/model and source.  The good news is that no matter where these trucks come from, the potential for a great deal is always there.  In most cases, you will only be bidding against a few other people (at most) because the volume and selection is so great that competition on any individual truck is minimal.
